二、劈挂拳技法特点

（一）大开大合，长刁冷抽Vige-scalea，trickyquick-strike

劈挂拳动作开合幅度较大，四肢百骸屈合灵活以护各部，舒展各节以放长击远，在大开中求密合，在长击中藏短打。动作整体表现为“合如伏炮，缩身藏头；开如炮发，上下展炸”。技法特点上，长刁冷抽，脆快冷弹，回缩若弹簧。

步法讲究进必跟，退必疾。在长进与速退中，常以原地“转趾”（脚前掌碾转）的方法变换方位与姿势。劈挂拳注重以腰为轴，同时要求含胸拔背，蜿蜒蛇行，力由腰发，常以直进侧入，转折机灵。

技法上讲究随招进招，随形打势，其一般规律为“高来则挂，低来则劈，横来则拦，顺来则扳”。
